REPORT ON OBSERVANCE OF NATIONAL DOCTORS DAY
To commemorate National Doctors Day (July 1, 2025), Department of Public Health Dentistry, Azeezia College of Dental Sciences and Research organized a series of meaningful activities at the reception area, aimed at expressing gratitude and spreading health awareness. The theme for this year “Behind the mask: Who heals the healers?” perfectly reflected the spirit of the event honoring the tireless service and human touch that doctors bring to patient care. The event was marked by enthusiastic participation of patients, students and staff who came together to write heartfelt gratitude messages on sticky notes. These colorful notes were displayed on a dedicated board,showcasing appreciation and admiration for doctors and their selfless services to society.
To promote oral health among young minds, pamphlets were also distributed to children, highlighting the importance of oral hygiene and regular dental care. Oral cancer awareness pamphlets were also distributed. In addition, awareness for oral cancer and correct tooth brushing technique was provided through interactive discussions by interns.
A series of educational posters were also presented. These posters attracted attention and served as powerful visual tools to convey important message about oral health. The event was graced by Dr.Rathy R, Principal, Azeezia Dental College and extended her wishes for a Happy Doctors Day to all health care professionals at the college.
The event successfully blended gratitude with education, highlighting the dual role of doctors as care givers and health educators. We sincerely thank the Department of Public Health Dentistry for organizing this meaningful event and for their continued commitment to promote oral health and community well-being.
