REPORT OF FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM ON OBJECTIVE STRUCTURED CLINICAL PRACTICE/PRACTICAL EXAMINATION
A Faculty Development Program (FDP) in Medical Education Technology was successfully conducted at Azeezia College of Dental Sciences & Research on 4/6/2026. The program focused on Objective Structured Clinical/Practical Examination (OSCE/OSPE), aimed at enhancing the evaluation and assessment skills of the teaching faculty. The session featured expert lectures, an interactive Q&A segment, and a live demonstration. The session was led by distinguished academic experts who shared deep insights into the implementation and standardization of OSCE/OSPE:

Professor &HoD, Dept. of Physiology. The program commenced with welcome address by Dr.R.Rathy Principal ACDSR. The resource persons highlighted the importance of moving toward objective, structured evaluation methods to minimize examiner bias and ensure uniform grading standards for students.
A practical demonstration was conducted during the second half of the program. This hands-on segment illustrated a mock setup of an examination station, demonstrating how a student’s clinical and practical skills are observed, timed, and objectively evaluated in real-time. The program concluded with a highly interactive Q&A session where participants clarified practical challenges regarding time management and infrastructure logistics when setting up these exams.Dr.M.SDeepa, convenor FDU delivered vote of thanks.
