DENTAL CAMP REPORT
The Department of Public Health Dentistry, Azeezia College of Dental Sciences and Research and NSS unit(NSS/SFU/KLM/KUHS/3) organized an oral screening camp in association with NSS unit of GHSS Valathungal, Mayyanad, Kollam on 26/10/24 .
We reached the school by10:00a.m.and were welcomed by the Principal, staff and students. By 10:15 a.m. the inauguration ceremony was commenced. The inauguration speech was given by the Principal and the welcome address was given by NSS programme officer. The felicitation was given by PTA president and vote of thanks was given by an NSS volunteer. Dr Naveen Jacob Varghese, Senior Lecturer, NSS Programme officer, Department of Public Health Dentistry gave an awareness on oral health care and also regarding the details of the camp. The oral screening camp started at 11:00 a.m. All the staff, students and public attended the camp. Overall there were 76 participants out of whom 34 were referred for restoration, 26 were referred for scaling and 9 were referred for orthodontic treatment and 4 were referred for extraction.The oral screening camp concluded by1:30 p.m.
