REPORT OF NATIONAL DOCTOR‘S DAY
To commemorate National Doctor‘s Day (1/07/2024),the Department of Public Health Dentistry, Azeezia College of Dental Science and Research Kollam, conducted various activities like Oral screening camp at Anganwadi, Kaithakuzhy and a seminar by Dr Shifa Jabbar on the topic “Surviving final year…. And beyond” The National Doctor‘s Day encourages society to appreciate and support the medical profession and to advocate for better working conditions and resources for health care workers . The Theme chosen for National Doctor‘s Day in 2024 is “Healing Hands , Caring hearts”
On 1/07/24 Department of Public Health Dentistry organized a seminar on the topic “Surviving Final year… and beyond” for the final year BDS students by Dr Shifa Jabbar(Reader, Department of Orthodontics, Azeezia Dental College,Kollam).He discussed in detail about how to overcome fear, how to manage time, various methods of studying , good diet and sleep patterns, about making time table for studying in each day and also about stress management. The talk was interesting and informative for the students.
On 10/07/24 Department of Public Health Dentistry, organized a oral screening camp at Anganwadi, Kaithakuzhy for children under the age of 3 years. The Oral screening camp started at 9:30 am and distributed school startup kits for children. A total of 17 children were examined and among them 5 were advised for restoration and 2 for oral prophylaxis. The camp concluded by giving instructions on oral hygiene practice and brushing pattern.
