REPORT OF NATIONAL PUBLIC HEALTH DENTISTRY DAY
Every year19th June is celebrated as National Public Health Dentistry day. The day is celebrated to spread awareness about the importance of oral health among the public. The theme for this year 2023 is “Empowering Leaders to shape the future of Dental Public Health”.
The Department of Public Health Dentistry of Azeezia College of Dental Sciences and Research celebrated the day (19th June 2023) by conducting an interactive session guided by Dr. Aarathi Vijayan, Head of the Department, Public Health Dentistry.
The session mainly concentrated on giving an orientation about the aims and objectives of public health dentistry .The speaker gave a clear cut idea about the various activities and programs undertaken and successfully coordinated by the department. It was a interactive session where students were given incentives for their participation.
The speaker concluded the day by enlightening the students and encouraging them to be a part of the departmental activities and programs and be a public health servant.
