REPORT OF REPUBLIC DAY – JANUARY 26 2024
Republic Day in India is celebrated every year on the 26th of January. It was on this day that the constitution of India came into being, replacing the Government of India Act 1935 and making India a Republic Nation.
To commemorate this day, Azeezia College of Dental Sciences And Research, Meeyannoor celebrated the 75th Republic Day on January 26, 2024 Friday at Azeezia Medical College, Academy block from 8.30 am to 9 30am . The Public Health Dentistry Department and NSS unit (NSS/SFU/KLM/KUHS/3) of Azeezia College of Dental Sciences And Research started the celebration by conducting a rally starting from the Azeezia Dental College to Azeezia Medical College, Academy. A total number of 50 students as well as NSS volunteers participated in the rally. The students, faculties and staff of Azeezia Medical College and Azeezia Nursing College participated in the programme. The National Flag was hoisted by the chief guest Dr. Bhasan, Principal, Azeezia Nursing College. The chief guest gave a speech on how Republic day is important to the younger generation. The republic day message was given by Dr Jeffy, Professor, Azeezia Medical College and Dr Safana , Intern, Azeezia Dental College. The CEO of Azeezia Medical College, Mr Jawahar Janardanan gave a brief speech about the Indian Constitution as well as the history of Republic day. The students also sang a few patriotic songs. Mr Jawahar Janardhanan addressed about the Republic day and appreciated the students and their activities.
After that the vote of thanks was given by Dr. Naveen Jacob Varghese, Senior Lecture and NSS Programme Officer, Department of Public Health Dentistry. The program concluded with National Anthem and dispersing the rally by the security officer.
