The Department of Medicine and Radiology, Azeezia College of Dental Sciences and Research, celebrated World Oral Health Day with a series of engaging programs. The first event was a Oral health check up Camp and Awareness Class, held in collaboration with the Kerala state Police officers Association and Kerala Police Association Kollam Dist.
The program was inaugurated by Mrs.Kiran Narayan IPS and attracted over 100 participants. The event featured informative talks on mental. health and oral health by Dr. M.S.DEEPAas well as oral hygiene and oral health by Dr. Preeja Prem Kumar.
Additionally, interns from the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology (OMR) conducted a demonstration of Brushing and flossing techniques, further enhancing the educational value of the event.A Smile Competition was organized for students, interns, and faculty members of the college. The event saw enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty, with everyone showcasing their brightest smiles.
The competition was a huge success, and the winners were awarded prizes in recognition of their captivating smiles.Additionally, an awareness talk was conducted for the interns by Dr. Mithula Nair, focusing on the crucial topic ‘Healthy Teeth, Happy Mind.’ This informative session aimed to educate the interns on the significance of oral health in maintaining overall well-being.
The event also acknowledged academic excellence, as the top three performers in Oral Medicine and Radiology were recognized and awarded for their outstanding achievements. ( sponsored by Sensodyne)
A comprehensive oral health checkup camp was also organized for the MBBS students of Azeezia Medical College and Nursing Colleges, providing them with a thorough dental examination and promoting overall wellness among the medical and nursing student community.
