Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons’ Day Celebration
February 13, 2026
The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Azeezia College of Dental Sciences and
Research, Kollam, in association with AOMSI Kerala State Chapter – Kollam Max Fac Study Circle,
celebrated Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons’ Day on February 13, 2026 with academic and public
awareness initiatives.
Maxillofacial Injury Awareness Campaign – February 13, 2026
An extensive awareness campaign focusing on road safety, maxillofacial trauma prevention, and
the importance of the Golden Hour in trauma care was conducted in various colleges across Kollam
district under the guidance of faculty members with active participation of postgraduate students
and house surgeons.

Conclusion
The celebration was a grand success, combining academic excellence, creative engagement, and
community outreach. The coordinated efforts of faculty members, postgraduate students, and
house surgeons effectively promoted awareness regarding maxillofacial trauma and highlighted the
vital role of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in trauma management
