Earth Day was founded in 1970 as a day of education about environmental issues and is an annual celebration that honors the achievements of environmental movement and raises awareness of the need to protect Earth’s natural resources for future generations.
With the theme: ‘Invest In Our Planet’, World Earth Day 2023 is celebrated on April 22nd all over the world.
As a part of this day, Department of Public Health Dentistry, Azeezia College of Dental Sciences and Research and NSS unit (NSS/SFU/KLM/KUHS/3) jointly celebrated the event by installing eco-friendly water feeders for birds in the campus on April 24th 2023. Posters regarding Earth Day were also exhibited at the reception area of the dental college.
The initiative of this programme was undertaken by the Department of Public Heath Dentistry; all staff and interns of the department were actively involved and participated in the program.
