REPORT OF CAMP AT ADOPTED VILLAGE– ANGANWADI, ELAVINMOODU
World Health Day is celebrated every year on April 7th to raise awareness about global health issues and to promote healthier living for people all over the world. The day serves as an opportunity to focus attention on important health topics such as mental health, climate change, and access to healthcare.
As a part of world health day an oral screening camp and dental health education was conducted by AzeeziaCollege of Dental Sciences and Research,Kollam, Department of Public Health Dentistry on 12-4-25 at Anganwadi , Elavinmoodu,Velichikkala,Kollam. The camp was based on the theme “Healthy beginnings,hopeful futures” and it commenced at 10:00am The activities included were Health talk on maternal and infant oral health along with oral screening for anganwadi children and their parents.
A total number of 30 participants were screened. Referral cards were given to the patients and out of 30, 3 were referred to Department of OMFS, 8 to Department of Conservative dentistry and endodontics, 7 to Department of periodontics, 3 to Department of prosthodontics, 4 to Department of orthodontics and 5 patients to the Department of pedodontics for further treatment.
