This year, Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology, Azeezia College of Dental Sciences and Research arranged an array of programs commemorating World No Tobacco Day 2022.
- Nation wide Digital Art Contest with the theme “Tobacco- poisoning our life and environment “ for Dental students jointly organized by IAOMR & Dept of OMR, Azeezia College of Dental Sciences and Research.The first, second and third prize winners were provided with certificates and cash prize of 3000/, 2000/- and 1000/- respectively. All participants were provided with participation certificates
- Screening camps for tobacco induced lesions were conducted on 23/05/2022 -Muttakavu Government LP School (10 am to 1 pm) ; and 28/05/2022 -Maithri Club, Mayyanad (10 am to Ipm).
- A Webinar for Interns & students was conducted on “How to screen tobacco induced oral lesions” by Dr T.N.Uma Maheswari, Professor & Head of admin, department of OMR, Saveetha Dental College & Hospitals, Chennai.
- Anti tobacco awareness rally on 31-5-22 organized by District Medical Office, Kollam.
- Awareness talk by Dr M S Deepa on tobacco and oral health was aired at Community Radio Benziger.
