In Commemoration with World No Tobacco Day the programme conducted by Azeezia College of Dental Sciences & Research are listed below.
- On 31st May 2019 pamphlets and eco-friendly pens, were distributed to OPD patients with No tobacco message.
- A photo booth with anti tobacco message was arranged in college campus and at Kollam railway station for the public awareness. Exhibition was conducted at railway station from 8.30 am to 1.30 pm. The exhibition was inaugurated by Mayor Rajendra babu.
- Oral Screening Camp was conducted for the inmate of Sub Jail, Kollam, by the Department of Community dentistry. Anti Tobacco awareness talk was given to the inmate by Dr. Deepa M S, Department of Oral Medicine & Radiology.
- A state level short film competition for all Dental Colleges was conducted by the Department of Oral Medicine & Radiology.
- Anti tobacco Awareness program for the public was conducted at Kollam beach, jointly by the department of OMR, Community dentistry, Oral Pathology which commenced with Anti tobacco rally for public awareness which was flagged off by Kollam Mayor Shri. Rajendra Babu from Press Club and the rally marched towards Kollam beach on 31st May 2019. Awareness Programme for public by the students in the form of skit, street play and mimes.
- On 27th May Tobacco Cessation Training Programme for dental fraternity was conducted at Azeezia Dental College Auditorium organized by the Department of Oral Medicine & Radiology.
